Bordered by Zavkhan in the north, Bayankhongor in the east, Hovd province in the west, and the People's Republic of China in the south, the province has 18 administrative districts, and currently 55.4 thousand people live in 15.5 thousand households in the area of ​​141.4 thousand square kilometers. Gobi-Altai province has abundant natural resources, pristine land, and high intellectual potential of its people. Gobi-Altai province is located in the southwestern part of Mongolia, with advantages such as Gobi's natural history and cultural monuments, a pleasant tourism environment with remnants of the ancient biosphere, rich mineral resources for the development of mining, extraction, and processing industries, and a border port for communication with foreign countries. it ranks second in the country in terms of its territory. Gobi-Altai province is bordered by Bayankhongor in the east, Zavkhan in the north, and Khovd in the west of Mongolia. It borders China in the south. The total territory of Gobi-Altai Province is 141.4 thousand square kilometers. Located in the 6th world time zone, it has a land surface with a combination of mountains, plains, valleys, vastness, depressions, and depressions. The territory of the province belongs to the Altai mountainous region and the Gobi region in terms of topography, and in terms of natural zones and belts, it is mainly in the Gobi and desert regions. And to a lesser extent, the vertical or roof belts of the steppes and high mountains are spread. More than 10 of Mongolia's 33 famous villages are located there.
